Ideal for Woodinville, Bothell, Redmond, Kirkland, Bellevue and Monroe

Tiny Treks NW is an innovative 100% Outdoors program for children 20 months -11 years old. If you are a family who wants to teach their children about the world through exploration of their natural surroundings, this is the program for your child!  For over 20 years, we have been teaching and living a belief, that children learn best through hands-on experiences, which build self-esteem and encourage a love of nature.

Registration is OPEN for School Year 2019-2020

Parent/Child Classes


(20 months - 5 years)

Classes are offered Monday - Fridays 10:00-12:00noon/Saturdays 930am-11;30am

  • Meets once a week for 2 hours

  • Classes are located at a different park, lake or farm each week in the Redmond/Kirkland area

  • Activities include short, stimulating hikes in a variety of outdoor settings, music, art projects and games

  • A healthy snack is provided by the teacher along with stories on the theme for the day

  • STEAM learning through investigation of our nature world

Drop Off Programs

Outdoor PreschooL

(3-5 years)

Classes are offered Monday - Friday

  • We meet 3 hours a day with a monthly nature theme

  • Our school is at the unique and charming Keep it Simple farm on Avondale in Redmond

  • The farm has chickens, ducks, cats, pigs and rabbits to watch and learn about

  • There are 7 acres of forest and farm with a fire pit to warm up by

  • Children must be 3 years old by September 1 to begin preschool and potty trained

  • STEAM learning through investigation of our nature world

Outdoor School

(5-9 years)

Class is offered Thursdays from 10-2pm

  • Classes meet at different natural spaces on the Eastside

  • Children must be 5 years old to begin

  • Children bring their snack and lunch in a backpack each class

  • We meet for 4 hours with STEAM teaching - Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math

  • Science - learning about nature through deep immersion

  • Technology - learning to use binoculars, magnifying glasses, tools like saws, hammers and old school technology

  • Engineering - building bird houses or creating forts in the woods

  • Arts - finding the art in nature

  • Math - learning circumference, length, width, balance, physics through tree climbing
