Pamela Worth - Founder and Owner

Pamela Worth founded Tiny Treks in 1997 as a creative alternative to indoor parent participation programs. Pamela combines her vast child development knowledge and teaching experience to present a dynamic program for young children. She taught elementary school for 12 years. She was a mentor teacher, curriculum developer and also led workshops for teachers. Currently she is a parent educator and lectures in many school settings.  Pamela has a Bachelor's in Psychology and Early Childhood Development from the University of Illinois. She holds a Masters Degree in Education and Child Development from National University and has taken extensive coursework beyond her masters in psychology, education and child development. Pam is a certified life and wellness coach.  Most importantly, she and her husband have four wonderful children. She is available to answer any questions at pam@tinytreks.com.

All of our teachers use our specially designed curriculum which combines movement, music, projects and the great outdoors.  Each of our teachers also incorporates their own magic into each weekly session of our unique and fun-filled program.

Ann Glaser - Director Tiny Treks NW

Ann Glaser launched Tiny Treks in Washington in 2005.  As the director of Tiny Treks NW, Ann has trained and mentored an incredible staff of outdoor educators leading a variety of Tiny Treks classes throughout the Seattle area.  Ann saw a huge gap in explorative forest kindergarten programs and developed Tiny Treks Outdoor Preschool (TTOP) in 2010. 

Ann has a K-8 Teaching Credential and is passionate about bringing the love of nature to children.  She led art classes in elementary schools for 12 years, is a trained musician and is an outdoor enthusiast.  She has a BA in Geography from UCSB and has traveled the world.  As the proud mother of two adult children, Ann Is passionate about giving children the opportunity to be immersed in nature..  Ann is happy to answer any questions by email or phone.  425-503-6953 or tinytreksnw@gmail.com.

Andrea Reid - Assistant Director Tiny Treks CA Peninsula Teacher

Teacher Andrea first joined the Tiny Treks family in 1998 when she participated with her oldest daughter, Georgia. Andrea is a naturalist mom and when she was ready to rejoin the workforce, Tiny Treks was the perfect fit for her next career. Andrea has been an adored teacher and parents secretly call her, “Mother Nature”. Teacher Andrea became the assistant director in 2014 and has mentored many Tiny Treks educators. Teacher Andrea shares her passion for organic food with her incredible snacks and her developmental and loving approach to meeting every child’s needs comes through the entire class from gathering to circle time to snack and story to meaningful hiking to creating a cohesive group of families coming together each class.

In addition, Andrea has continued to pursue her love of learning about nature by attending as many outdoor workshops and docent-led hikes as possible. She’s looking forward to starting the certification program in early 2017 to become a California Naturalist and continuing to share her knowledge with all of her Tiny Treks families.

Roo Hall - Assistant Director Tiny Treks NW


Rowena Hall grew up on the south coast of England near the beach and spent time camping, biking, kayaking and exploring the surrounding farm lands. At University Roo graduated with a degree in Microbiology and went on to work in virology. She has always loved being outside and so became a kayak instructor and a cub scout leader for over 24 years. All Roo's spare time has been spent outside teaching kayaking, camping, snowboarding, hiking and mountain biking. Now with her own children she enjoys showing them the wonder of our natural world and how with a little effort you can get to do amazing things and see incredible places.  Roo Hall leads the Tiny Treks Outdoor Preschool team-working with children 3-5 as they are immersed in nature.


Katie - Tiny Treks NW Teacher

Katie is an experienced teacher in and out of the classroom. She enjoys exploring the beauty of the PNW with her two young children, creating fun learning experiences, and running through forested trails. 

With her love of nature, experience as both a Tiny Treks parent and Tiny Treks teacher, and passion for early learning, she is excited to lead parent/child class this school year.

Gayathri - Tiny Treks NW Teacher

Gayathri grew up in India and has always loved being outdoors and in nature. She spent childhood vacations in the lush greenery of her home state in Kerala and went to a boarding school that focused on immersing children in nature. This experience stayed with her into adulthood and now she hopes for her young son to also value the same. 

She is also passionate about children’s picture books having worked as an editor in children's publishing and has written three books as well. Gayathri attended the Tiny Treks parent-child class with her own toddler who loved it, and is excited to share the beauty of the Pacific Northwest with other parents and their children.

Susan - Tiny Treks CA North Peninsula Teacher


Teacher Susan joined the Tiny Treks team after taking a break from teaching to raise her two children. 

Susan grew up in the Santa Cruz Mountains and spent her childhood exploring in nature, climbing trees and freely discovering the great outdoors. 

Susan headed to Stanford for her undergraduate degree and while working as teacher at the Bing School, Susan received MA in Education with emphasis in Early Childhood. 

Susan has always loved working with young children through her professional career. 

Susan has joyfully raised her two children, with an emphasis on nature and having access to the outdoors.  Her family loves living on the coast, surrounded by open space and the Pacific. 

Susan has a daughter, Kira, a freshman at Sacred Heart Prep and Derek, a sophomore at Santa Clara University. Susan has been married to Todd for 30 years!

Asli - Tiny Treks South Bay CA Teacher

Teacher Asli is passionate about guiding children through hands on discovery.    Her love of nature began in childhood in her native Turkey and continued in her education, where she studied at  Bogazici University, Istanbul.  She was in the mountaineering club where her love of climbing, hiking and camping flourished. A milestone that transformed her relationship to nature and her underlying  strong desire to teach in Tiny Treks has been the birth and growth of her son. “Hearing, seeing and smelling this planet through the senses of a toddler as the wondrous and miraculous space it actually is, has been like stepping into a new universe full of mysteries and thrills.” Asli joined Tiny Treks first as a parent and later as a teacher. She holds an M.A. degree in sociology from the University of Michigan and moved to the Bay area in 2013. 


 Maggie-South Bay CA Teacher


Maggie is so excited to be part of the Tiny Treks team in the South Bay. She loves seeing the wonder on young childrens' faces when they explore open spaces, parks, bay lands and farms. Maggie has experienced Tiny Treks with her two children for more than four years and she understands how important it is to teach children a love and appreciation of nature in their informative early childhood years. Maggie has been training in the South Bay and as a lead teacher she cannot wait to share these incredible spaces and our Tiny Treks program with its rich curriculum and flow with you and your family!

Maggie moved to the Bay Area in 2011 from Orlando, FL. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Central Florida in 2006 and taught middle school art from 2006-2010.

Maggie's favorite place to visit in the Bay Area is Natural Bridges and her favorite snack while hiking is granola bars and bananas. When she was a kid, her favorite book was Bringing the Rain to Kapiti Plain and her favorite book to read to her kids is Rosie Revere Engineer.

Maggie has fabulous energy and experience to share in the South Bay.


Vanessa - Tiny Treks CA Peninsula and South Bay Teacher


Teacher Vanessa fell in love with the Tiny Treks program after participated in the Peninsula class for the last three years.

Vanessa grew up in in the South Bay where she spent her childhood exploring the Los Alamitos and Calero Creek trails.  For most of her school age and high school years she hiked in the creeks collecting crayfish, tadpoles and red brick rock (her Father used this brick to create walls for his landscape).  She also attended one of the first science/environmental magnet schools in San Jose, exposing her to a specialized science instruction on a one acre outdoor classroom environment.  She not only took an early liking to nature, she also had a passion to work with youth early in her career.  Vanessa holds a BA in Child and Adolescent Development from San Jose State.

Vanessa has worked with young children as a PE teacher, in addition she developed and ran kinder programs and school readiness programs. Vanessa is passionate about creating a learning environment for young children focusing on their social, emotional and cognitive development.  She has been enriching and educating youth for the last twenty years and looks forward to exploring and learning with Tiny Treks families in the South Bay and Mid Peninsula areas.  Vanessa is so excited to join the Tiny Treks Teaching team!

Rachna-North Peninsula Teacher


Rachna comes to Tiny Treks this year with wonderful education experience in a variety of settings.  Rachna has worked with preschool age children through high school children. 
She has a Bachelors and Masters degree in English language arts.

Rachna has a love of reading books and curating the best books for children.

She joined Tiny Treks as a participant in our first Teeny Tiny Treks class and has been training under Teacher Andrea.

Rachna’s favorite place is the hike to the top of angel island in San Francisco. Her other favorite spots are Reading Bug bookstore in San Carlos, and Mitchell library in Palo Alto.

Rachna has way too many favorite children’s books to pick only a few.

Rachna loves Tiny Treks because it focuses on bringing children into nature to do what they naturally love to do- play and explore! It’s beautiful to see a child develop over the year and become inquisitive about the nature he’s been consistently seeing on the hikes. It’s so important for children to be outdoors, and to do it with their peers creates great friendships.

Sarika-East Bay Fremont, Newark, Union City and Surrounding Areas, CA


Sarika is so excited share Tiny Treks in the East Bay (Fremont, Union City, Newark and the surrounding areas).  Sarika fell in love with Tiny Treks when she participated with her twin daughters.  

Sarika, grew up in India and developed a love for the outdoors and the environment thanks to her summer trips with her family and hiking trips into the Sahyadri mountains and Himalayas. 

An engineer by training, Sarika left her job in high tech to be home with her twin girls. As a parent, her desire was for her daughters (and all children) to spend their early childhood years gadget free and outdoors - observing, exploring and ultimately developing a love for nature. Tiny Treks was a perfect match for Sarika's philosophy and values.

Sarika is also a trained Music for Minors II docent and a certified yoga teacher. She brings her unique blend of training and skills to her Tiny Treks classes in the East Bay (Fremont, Union City, Newark and the surrounding areas)

Teacher Ting - Mandarin Mondays in Peninsula, surrounding areas, CA

Yunting (Teacher Ting) has been a passionate Tiny Treks parent since 2013.  Ting has vast education and experience in the sciences and cannot wait to share her passion and love of the outdoors and most importantly her love of children and families by joining our Tiny Treks teaching family.

Ting was born in Shanghai and grew up and lived there until she started graduate school at Cornell. Ting has a BS in plant science and technology from Shanghai Jiaotong University and Master of Science from Cornell in plant breeding and genetics with the Nutritional Science minor. She then moved to Zurich and has a degree in Nutrition and Human Health. Ting was working on the translational nutrition project before she began her own family.  Ting and her husband and kids moved back to the US in 2012. She speaks Mandarin (native speaker) , English (bi-lingual fluency), German (business fluent) and a bit of French, together with kids we learned some ASL too. 

Ting loves to hike and explore. Tiny Treks definitely brought her even closer to nature.

Ting also enjoys gardening, practicing piano, swimming and do different fun things with the kids and family. 

Teacher Yiwen Cheng (English Name Evanni) Mandarin Immersion Teacher


Received her education at the University of Shanghai Donghai and continued her education in Early Childhood at Diablo Valley College.

Yiwen comes to Tiny Treks after a wonderful indoor classroom experience as a lead teacher at a Mandarin Immersion preschool.  Her focus at Tiny Treks will be to foster a positive, warm and inviting environment that enhances learning and social emotional development.

Yiwen joins the Tiny Treks family because she is passionate about the outdoors and wants to incorporate her love of nature and the arts in her Mandarin Immersion classes.  Yiwen has high energy and she will work to connect her families to nature while teaching, singing and playing in Mandarin. 

Teacher Yiwen will be teaching on Mondays and Saturdays in the North Peninsula. 

Sarah - Tiny Treks NW Teacher

Sarah is a Pacific Northwest native! Growing up in the area, Sarah spent her time exploring all the wonderful outdoors this area has to offer. As a child, she grew up learning about native plants, camping in a variety of areas, and swimming in all the natural swimming holes she could find. As an adult, she enjoys hiking with her son, trail running up and down mountains with her husband, and gardening. Sarah is excited to be joining the Tiny Treks team as a teacher in the Parent/Child classes.

Ann - Tiny Treks NW Teacher

Tiny Treks is excited to welcome Ann to our Tiny Treks parent/child teaching team.  Ann has been a lead teacher at Redmond Toddler Group since 2007 and is also a parent educator.  Ann has 2 children of her own and has worked as a midwife as well. She was also her daughter's Girl Scout troop leader and is an avid outdoors woman.
